The Boston Celtics are looking for talented vocalists and musicians to perform the National Anthem at the team’s home games throughout the 2009-10 NBA season. Talented groups, instrumentalists, children and other unique performers are invited to attend the auditions on Monday, October 5 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Hard Rock Café.

The performers with the best audition, as determined by the judges, will be invited to perform the National Anthem before the Celtics pre-season and regular season games throughout the regular season. Auditions will be open call and on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon arrival, each contestant will receive a number and be asked to perform for judges when their number is called. Auditions are not open to the public, but a limited number of friends and family will be admitted with each participant. All auditions will be acapella, and there will be no accompaniments.

Parking for auditions is available in local parking garages surrounding the Hard Rock Cafe for a fee. Contestants are encouraged to take public transportation where available. Performers should enter the main entrance and follow the signs to the audition room.
