This is a great website though there are some flaws. I met a MassArt student on there and wrote and recorded the music for her animation project. It was a great experience (you can check it out here: http://www.julianweisser.com).
One of the problems that the website currently has is that there is no way to privately message members. There needs to be a profile page where you can post samples from you portfolios! After all that is kind of the point.
Anyways everyone should check that site out.
