Press Release By: Ken Procaccianti
High on the list of priorities for the estimated 250,000 college students that return to Boston this fall will be how and where to have a good time. Too frequently though, having fun at college means keg parties, bars and beer pong tournaments. For the first time this fall, students and all other Bostonians will have a new, unique resource for having fun without booze: Hammered.org.
Launching in Boston today, the new website Hammered.org hunts all over the city for fun stuff to do without alcohol and other drugs. With distinct humor and an entertaining approach, Hammered.org highlights the top fun things to do without booze on its website and in a free weekly email newsletter.
Hammered.org marks its launch with a contest for everyone who signs up for the site’s free weekly email. Every new user will have a chance to win an unprecedented prize package of over $750 worth of fun stuff to do in Boston without booze. Contest sponsors providing prizes include Boston Duck Tours, F1 Boston, J.P. Licks, Boloco, Boston Bowl, Brattle Theatre, MyBike Online, SkyZone, The Sports Museum, Boston Harbor Islands and the Boston Center for the Arts.
“Even a cup can have fun without drinking,” says the company’s marketing materials. Adds company founder Ken Procaccianti, “Hammered.org demonstrates that you can live one night of your weekend, your whole life or anytime in between without alcohol and other drugs.”
Hammered.org will be promoting the contest throughout Boston featuring a red plastic cup, a symbol of drinking, having fun without its typical companion.
