CAREER KEROSENE: Hot Tips to Fuel Your Music Career, #8

Hot Tips to Fuel Your Music Career
• Use your lawyer for advice, but not for the initial negotiations. In most instances, bringing your lawyer in will send the weasels scurrying for cover. Unless it’s a big deal, try to keep things on a personal basis.
• Today’s knowledge economy rewards individuality, originality, innovation, and boldness. In such an environment, organizations are not eager to hold onto people who are content to muddle through.
• Managing fear. Helen Keller had the right perspective on fear when she said: “Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold.”
