BSAN Student Showcase Submission Deadline!

Boston, MA — The Boston Student Arts Network (BSAN) is excited to announce an open call for their Student Showcase this fall. The event will feature music and art students from around New England in a one night event at Limelight Studios on Tremont Street in Boston. The call is open to all varieties of music to fill a 10 act stage showcase as well as all varieties of visual art to be showcased throughout the venue. This is an opportunity to unite the colleges and universities of Boston and surrounding areas and celebrate the visual and musical talent the city holds. Jenna Larsson, Director of Art and Social Media for the organization explains, “We are proud to showcase the talents of local students through this showcase, are we are excited to see the additional opportunities it sparks for our members and our organization.” The event which will be funded through Kickstarter and local sponsorships will raise money for BSAN to continue to do their work and help students pursuing careers in the arts and entertainment industries.
The organization, which was founded in June 2011, connects students in all varieties of art through an online member directory. Members are able to browse their colleague’s profiles, and use the organization as a resource to find crews and collaborators for their future projects. In its first year, it has attracted over 150 members and shared hundreds of internship and job opportunities. “We look forward to the adding the Showcase as an annual event and are confident it will be as successful as our Boston Student Film Fest last spring,” explains Founder/Director Kelly Soule.
The showcase will take place on Sunday, November 11th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at Limelight Studios on Tremont Street in Boston.
Students and groups who want to participate should download the submission form from the Showcase website and send it to showcase@bostonstudentarts.org. Deadline is Sunday, September 30th.
