Artist of the Month: Special Edition

The mysterious envelopes containing the Collegefest tickets in our first official scavenger hunt!

In the midst of all of the exciting things that have been going on this semester with The Groove (like our upcoming “In the Groove” Songwriting Competition powered by Guitar Center), last month, we did something we’ve never done before – a scavenger hunt… in the late hours of a random Wednesday night for nothing other than free Collegefest tickets. After hiding four of the free CF tickets in freshly and cleverly colored envelopes (thanks to one of our favorite Groovers, Tia Bowman) in extremely random places through the maze of the 136/150 Mass Ave. buildings (seriously, three years at Berklee and we still get lost in there), we posted a discrete picture of the hiding spot for each ticket… and the games began. Expecting the tickets to be found throughout the next 24 hours, we were pleasantly surprised (and by pleasantly surprised, I mean stoked) to find out that within an hour all four tickets were found. While on one hand, it proves that we aren’t the best hiders in the world, it also proves that our Groovers are intense… and just a bunch of bosses. To reward the winners for leaving their dorms and apartments in the wee hours of the morning when they probably should have been sleeping or practicing for a solfege quiz, we decided that each winner would be featured in a super special edition of the “Artist of the Month” series for the month of October.

So, as we promised, here are the four winners of the scavenger hunt for Collegefest tickets, and here is your chance to get to know your fellow Berklee students just a little better.
