The First Fridays Networking Reception & Mixer
———————————————————–
This month, we’re getting back to what First Fridays was designed to be and intended to do!

This event is a FF throwback and is designed to foster dialogue and build your network.

The event starts at 9pm with cocktails, hors doeuvres, and light music. It will continue with an after party at 11pm but the vibe will be more “upscale lounge” than crazy night club.
Some of the original FFers have been asking me for this for a long time. Ask and you shall receive.

The greatest stand up comics of yesteryear worked with great burlesque acts and we’re bringing back those old vaudevillian traditions with Something Awesome here at Comix.

Joe Lipari and Scout Durwood are New York City’s newest king & queen of late- night comedy! They’ve banded together to form the perfect union of comedy, sex appeal and glitter…

Scout Durwood is a seasoned comedienne and bawdy burlesquer with the innocence of a child and the drinking habits of a priest, bringing joy wherever she removes her clothes. Her work has been featured on The Howard Stern Show, CBS Radio, UCB, The Miss America Pageant, and in the east coast premier of ‘Exposed with Annie Sprinkle.’ Funny pretty. Pretty funny.

Joe Lipari has quickly become the city’s finest metro-sexual comic. After a stint in the U.S. Army, Joe started his comedy career in 2003 and has been honing his craft at some of the best (and seediest) comedy clubs around the country. He’s spent 2 years on Sirius Radio w/ Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), studied improv at The People’s Improv Theater, written/produced countless T.V. commercials and worked on MTV’s hit reality show’s The Hills & The City. His observant/sharp-tongued material is laced with biting sarcasm.
