Dark, rich, sultry are adjectives that can’t possibly touch what this seemingly shy girl projects from her mouth. When I called her a better sounding Sheryl Crow, Megan cracked up and said she had been associated with her before.
Valdes-Rodriguez visited several classes, reading excerpts from her work and offering advice on everything from writing to life, but the highlight of her visit was the interview and reading she gave on her last day. The author discussed ethnicity issues in America, her experiences as a journalist, and importantly, how her training as a jazz saxophonist and her writing intertwined.
Last night, Zac made a special appearance at Café 939 to share his lovely music in an intimate setting with friends and family members alike. There were plenty of inside jokes, and a dance floor graced with fans paying tribute to his sonically provoking tunes.
