Consider this FAQ page your ultimate guide to all things Berklee Groove.
If you’re wondering what exactly The Groove is all about, the process for submitting stories or announcements, getting involved, getting hired, advertising, and more, you’ll find it all right here. If we left something out or if you need clarification, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

- By subscribing to our email newsletter (once a month, we hook our Groovers up with exclusive opportunities, concert tickets, prize giveaways, and more)
- Through giveaways and contests on our Facebook, Twitter, and right here on berkleegroove.com (past prizes have included Boston Calling tickets, CollegeFest tickets, an Ibanez F-Style Mandolin, a 2012 Big Baby Taylor Acoustic Guitar, artwork, books, and phone meetings with successful film composers)
- Our “In The Groove” Songwriting Competition (first place prizes have included a songwriting consultation with the legendary John Oates (of Hall and Oates), 10 hours of studio recording time, a $250 Guitar Center gift card, a live performance and interview on the BIRN, the headlining performance at our spring end-of-semester party, and a feature on berkleegroove.com; at the live competition events, we’ve given away 15+ raffle prizes, honorable mention prizes, Red Bull, $20 Guitar Center BonusCards for every attendee, and have even provided dinner for everyone!)
- At the parties and jam sessions we throw every semester (we’re big on free food and handing out Groove merch to everyone!)
We don’t mind if you mail us physical CDs, press releases, etc., but we’ll get it a lot quicker (and you’ll save a lot of money) if you just email us digital versions. Again, we’re not in the office every day, so it’s a lot more convenient for us to receive your press materials via email.
